As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 (NIV)

Global Teams ministers in spiritually dark regions of the world, so our field partners and leaders sometimes face intense persecution. Please pray for the following two field partners who are undergoing fiery trials right now:

Gulisa* is a member of a house church in an oppressive Communist country in Central Asia. Last month, police came into her home, seized her New Testament and took her to the station for questioning. Now, they are demanding that she sign a written statement denouncing her faith in Christ.

Pray that Gulisa will stand firm in her faith. Pray that the Bible will be declared “legal” in her country. Pray that the police and government officials will come under the conviction and fear of God.

Majak,* a Global Teams church planter in India, was severely beaten by Hindu nationalists recently. Since 2014, intolerance toward religious minorities has grown in India.

Pray for physical healing for Majak and that he will have courage to continue his ministry. Pray that the Holy Spirit will work in the hearts and minds of militant Hindus so that they will be open to hearing the Gospel. Pray that the government in India will encourage religious tolerance.

Thank you for joining with us in prayer!

*Names changed

He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

2 Corinthians 1:10-11 (NIV)
