From John, one of our field partners working in South Asia: “Our national (indigenous) partners are prepared to continue SafeWater ministry expansion and practical hygiene behavior improvement. Please keep them in prayer as they lead these efforts, particularly as they help targeted communities recognize the resources and skills with which the Lord has gifted them to begin improvements.”

Because Global Teams provided SafeWater training, the indigenous partners were able to provide relief efforts to neighboring Himalayan villages following a massive flood. One of them reported, “We are well, by God’s grace, and the water has gone down. We have begun relief efforts to the flooded villages nearby. We are using the chlorine (to treat our water) and are encouraging others to use it as well.” His report is simple: they did not wait for relief to come to them. Rather, they took initiative in the disaster to show the love of Christ by yet another means. Each interaction is a potential discipleship opportunity to express the love of Christ. This is a picture of the ongoing partnership for which we strive!

Across the globe, Global Teams helps communities to become self-sufficient.
