Helping Puerto Rico (Hurricane Maria)

Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Maria – right on the heels of Hurricane Irma!
ARDF will be working with two trusted partners to deliver aid to the beleaguered people of Puerto Rico. Both share our model of working through the local church to bring help and hope in a time of crisis.
First, funds given to ARDF will support Iglesia Luterana Resurrection. This church and school is located in the Carolina suburb of San Juan. Pastor Casta and his flock will administer aid to the community with help from the North American Lutheran Church (NALC). The Lutheran Church is a trusted partner of The Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) in the work of the gospel and we are thrilled to be able to work with them, as there are no ACNA churches on the island.
Second, funds will support the work of Water Mission. They are poised to deploy:
– 6 Filtration/Chlorination systems with diesel generators
– 6 Chlorination systems with Solar Powered Pumps
– 8 Reverse Osmosis Systems (desalination plants)
These systems have the capacity to provide safe water for up to 60,000 people! Water Mission has a fantastic track record. After Hurricane Matthew hit Haiti last year, they installed 22 safe water systems in just 33 days!
Please join us in reaching those in need on the island of Puerto Rico!
